Scalp pimples and bumps can be caused by a
wide variety of things, notthe least of which are allergic reactions to the harsh chemicals (in shampoo, conditioner, hair treatments or dyes). In addition(specifically in males) these pimples can be caused by an over-abundance of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in his scalp.
Needless to say, simply experimenting with other hair
treatments would be the obvious course of action if you suspect allergies, but to combat a DHT problem one should consult a dermatologist and obtain dihydrotestosterone inhibitor such as Propecia that can be applied like a cream or shampoo.
Another possibility for scalp pimples (regardless of gender)
is an excess of dirt or bacteria build up on the follicle stem or root of the hair. I realize you are probably a very hygienic minded individual but sometimes,no matter what we do to try and keep ourselves clean and bacteria-free, infection on the scalp or follicle root can and sometimes does occur in just about every human being at one time or another in the course of their lives.
The solution scalp pimples may be as simple as
picking up an over-the-counter medicated shampoo that has some kind of antibacterial
properties. One that also contains tar, zinc pyrithione, selenium sulfide, sulfur, and/or salicylic acid may be particularly helpful but of course your local pharmacist will probably be delighted to educate
you about these options further.
Be safe and consult your pharmacist or physician first..
Other options to consider may be a Herbal treatment such as ClearPores or ZenMED

On the other hand you may have acquired a relatively common condition
such as “seborrhea dermatitis” or “eczema” that is causing your
outbreak. While you should really have this diagnosed by a doctor, if
it’s any comfort these conditions are easily treated with a
considerable expectation of success.
Yet another possibility is a condition called Scalp folliculitis. This
is an inflammatory disorder of the hair follicles in the scalp that
causes small pustules where the inflammation occurs. When diagnosed by
a physician this is typically treated with topical antibiotics like
fucidin gel, clindamycin solution or erythromycin solution.
A more severe form of this condition is
called “acne necrotica”, also known
as ‘acne varioliformis’ or ‘acne frontalis’. It should be treated if
this is what you have because in some cases it can become bad enough
that it actually causes scars.
