How to treat dull and rough skin

There are number of factors which contribute to a person’s skin looking dull or feeling rough. Some are related to environmental factors such weather, while other are directly related to improper care of skin. For instance, most women and men will experience some form of rough skin in the winter months. The reason for this is the lack of natural moisture in the air and as a result your skin tends to crackle and develops a rough sand paper type of feel

To remedy or treat rough skin the wisdom of the masses have develop several natural remedies over the years which are believed to aid the skin heal and thus restore a smoother feel. Many home made herbal remedies as well as commercial products have been developed to treat this condition.

One of the simplest and perhaps common sense remedies for treatment of rough skin is to drink lots of water, at least 6-8 glasses per day. This will ensure that the skin is kept hydrated and will not crackle or dry out. On a side note, besides keeping your skin hydrated, water is vital for proper functioning of the body. It is used to remove access waste from the body in other words a complete system flush.

Remedies which require more work to make consist of making a paste from turmeric powder and besan (I believe this is Indian word for gram flower) using some curd milk. Once the past is formed simply apply it to the rough skin and let it sit until it starts to dry out and then rise it off. Yet another remedy for dry skin consists of making a paste from soaked almond (few hours) and water.

The effectiveness of such remedies is questionable. The reason for this is that when you combine ingredient you are essentially forming a Medicine and as conventional wisdom will tells us for any medicine to be effective it needs to be comprised of the exact amount of each ingredient, not just bunch of things mixed together. And as far as I can tell from my research, virtually every recipe for making a natural rough skin treatment is different, so who do you trust? If things go wrong who can you blame but yourself?

As a result of all these uncertainties and variables one should never dismiss the idea of using commercial treatments albeit for rough skin, acne, or any other disease for that matter. Commercial treatment such as the ZenMED 3 step skin care system have been tested for years for the effectiveness both to cure the problem as well as human safety. Not to mention, the quantity of ingredients used is exact not guess work like many of the so called natural rough skin treatments.

Unless you are completely strapped for cash my recommendation is that you look towards cost effective commercial treatments such as ZenMED Skin Care System instead of wasting your time on making your own natural rough skin treatments. In the long run you will save time, money and even your health from becoming worse.
