Will Changing My Diet Help Clear My Acne?

Many doctors and scientists will have you believe that there is no correlation between what you eat and acne breakouts. However, I beg todiffer?. Acne diet has become somewhat of an arguable topic these days.

I know I'm not the only one that seems to think that there is more to acne diet than what doctors will have you believe. I have come across many people including our site visitors that seem to think that acne and diet go hand and hand.

For example I've noticed that when I increase my intake of peanut butter sandwiches or potato chips, the increase in pimples is noticeable shortly thereafter.

Doctors always seem to have an explanation for acne. They tell you that perhaps it's not the foods you are eating that are causing acne; rather you might be stressed when you eat these foods. WRONG? I eat them because I like certain foods. Call it my "acne diet" if you like.

So regardless of what "They" say, here are the facts:

Acne can be caused by excessive amount of iodine be it from foods or medication. Reason, being that your body gets rid of the excess amount of iodine through the pores of your skin.

This leads to skin irritation and inflammation in acne prone skin. My suggestion cut downon the following list of foods:
Turkey, asparagus beef liver kelp broccoli
seaweed iodized salt chips with sea salt cauliflower

Above mentioned foods are very are rich in iodine

Which Foods Should be Included in Your Acne Diet?

There is no such thing as ideal "DIET", you need to experiment a little and determine which foods lessen or worsen your acne. As a general guideline consume fresh fruits, whole grain foods and plant based foods which provide vitamins and minerals.

If your diet consists of burgers and fries several times a week (like mine used to) cut it down and make veggie sandwiches part of your acne diet. Consider using a 100% natural herbal supplement such as ClearPores-Skin Cleansing Treatment or Acuzine.

I have been acne free for over a year by simply adjusting my diet andusing clear pores as an herbal acne treatment to supplement my acne food.

Can My Acne Diet Contain Chocolates and Sweets?

Moderation is the key here! Even though chocolate and sweets do not seem to cause acne, they can lead to other heath concerns such as obesity. Watching your diet and exercising regularly will lead to beautiful clear skin and a healthy life style.
