·       Remember that your dosage is specific to you and you need to take the prescribed dosage twice a day after meals.  It is important to take it with enough liquid so that your throat lining is protected against any irritation.  It is for this reason also that your doctor will not recommend chewing or sucking on the capsule.

·       In case you happen to skip a dose, do not try to make up by taking 2 doses at one time.

·       Make sure you do not get pregnant and if you are lactating, stop breast feeding your baby during Accutane treatment and for a month at least after you stop the treatment.

·       Do not donate blood and do not imbibe any vitamin A, as some of the side effects associated with vitamin A are the same as with Accutane.

·       Do not expose yourself to sunlight or ultraviolet light and do not consume antibiotics while you are under Accutane treatment.

Knowledge of the above and adhering to them will provide you with a relatively trouble free Accutane experience and you will come out of it with skin that is glowing and acne free.
